Before we start on the 21-day (plus seven preparatory days) diabetes medication-free program, check your A1C. If you do not know your A1C, please talk to your doctor or visit the lab, which can do an A1C  test. It is important to know your current A1C number:

Normal A1C             : Below 5.7%
Pre-Diabetic             : 5.7% to 6.4%
Diabetic A1C            :  6.5% Plus

A healthy person with a normal A1C level below 5.7% is free from diabetes.
A 5.7% to 6.4% indicates prediabetes.
A 6.5% or more indicates diabetes.

Within the 5.7% to 6.4% prediabetes range, the higher your A1C, the greater your risk is for developing type 2 diabetes.
